Ms Robyn Bett

Robyn is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist with twenty years’ experience working with people across the lifespan from infants to elders. She provides short and long term psychotherapy as well as supervision. Robyn completed the Child and Adolescent stream in the APPWA Training Programme in March, 2023.

Robyn performed with Perth Playback Theatre Company for 20 years. She introduced drama therapy training at ECU in the early 2000’s and held roles in the counselling and creative arts therapies programmes at MU.

Robyn will be on long service leave until 1 December 2023

She is a past President of the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association of Australasia and a past Chair of Training of that organisation and of APPWA. Her current interests include mother/baby work, offering Infant Observation Seminars and some teaching and supervision.

He trained at Murdoch University, graduating in 2010 and completed psychoanalytic training through APPWA (Adult stream) in 2023. Jonathan has previously worked in foster care, health department outpatient clinics, mental health wards and paediatric medical wards. Jonathan now works full time in private practice with children, adolescents and adults. He also offers individual clinical supervision for mental health professionals.

The nature of her private practice is primarily long-term depth psychotherapy and clinical supervision. She is an experienced trainer and supervisor, and has held roles in university and private training sectors teaching counsellors, psychotherapists and supervisors. She conducts clinical study groups for psychotherapists interested in expanding their capacity to work with disorders of self utilising diagnostic and treatment principles of the Masterson Approach.

Lee currently works in private practice in Mt Lawley with adolescents and adults. She completed formal training in infant observation, and with both children and adolescents and adults in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Lee has senior public service experience in Child Protection, CAMS child and adolescent psychiatry inpatient and outpatient services, and adult outpatient services as a Senior Specialist Clinical Psychologist.

Her work with traumatized and deprived children in the public sector motivated her to seek a deeper psychoanalytic understanding . She completed the APPWA training in 2006. Since 2010, Lai Meng has worked as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in full time private practice. Here she has worked with children, parents and their families. This has extended into individual adult psychotherapy and she had also undertaken teaching and training therapy within the APPWA training programme.
